Probate Summary Administration

You may have been told that you need to probate the estate of a deceased relative.  Florida allows beneficiaries to go through Summary Administration for estates valued less than $75,000 or when the date of death is more than 2 year ago.

Summary Administration may be needed in order to:

  • transfer title to real property;
  • clear a real property title issue;
  • get entitlement to surplus proceeds;
  • get entitlement to unclaimed funds;
  • process Florida Treasure Hunt claim;
  • Order to determine the homestead status of the decedent’s residence.
